The Finnish-Russian Civic Forum (FINROSFORUM) was established in January 2007 by a group of people concerned about the development of human rights and the erosion of democracy in Russia. Our organisation supports civic initiatives for democracy, human rights, and freedom of speech.
FINROSFORUM has held annual conferences and other public events with the participation of numerous human rights defenders and opposition activists from Russia as well as many civil society actors from outside Russia. The fourth annual conference, FINROSFORUM 2010, was held on 21-22 July 2010 in Helsinki. The organisation's Vice-Chair is Elisabeth Nordgren, journalist and board member of Finnish PEN.
